Mary Lopez Scholarship Application

The Mary Lopez Scholarship honours the legacy of Talent Development Project Co-Founder and Emeritus Artistic Director, Mary Lopez.

Mary’s unwavering belief in the talent and potential of young performers inspired her lifelong commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists. Over more than 35 years, she played a pivotal role in shaping countless careers across the Australian performing arts industry.

Today, her legacy continues through this annual scholarship. In 2026 the scholarship value is $5,000, and will be awarded to one TDP alumnus in support of their ongoing career development and artistic aspirations.

Applications are open to TDP alumni across all genres who aged between18 to 30 years. Applicants should demonstrate a strong long-term commitment to their craft, along with the potential for sustained and meaningful contribution to the industry.

The scholarship is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents only.

Applications close Tuesday 9 June 2026. Successful applicants will be notified in mid-June 2026.
