Jay Dee
Springbett, the head of Sony A&R and former Australian Idol judge,
has worked with some of the biggest names in Australian music, including
TDP Graduates Human Nature, Rogue Traders and Jessica Mauboy. At Master
Class he will share his vast experience with students and other
aspiring musicians.
Master class is hosted by leading Record Producer and Musical Director, John Foreman and also features Golden Guitar winner and TDP graduate Felicity Urquhart, Australia’s Got Talent Winner Mark Vincent, Vocal star of Burn the Floor Jessica Lingotti, Agent Tony Grace, Simon Moor from Sony Publishing, cabaret star Trevor Ashley, stylist Hillary Daniels and more.
This year, for the first time, Jay Dee and the experienced panel will critique two new TDP students in front of the audience. This is a rare opportunity to see inside the TDP training experience and learn what it really takes to break into the music industry.
The members of the TDP panel are giving their time because of their passion to help develop and grow young Australian talent. As a result they are willing to be candid about the music industry, answering many previously unanswered questions including what managers really want, what labels are looking for and what the Idol experience is really like.
After Master Class, members of the panel will join this year’s TDP Graduates in the START ME UP Concert as they launch their professional careers.
START ME UP will be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on the 28th July 2010. Master Class begins at 4pm, while the Concert starts at 7.30pm.
