Tamworth Country Music Festival – 2020 Golden Guitar Awards

The 48th Annual Golden Guitar Awards were held on 25th January at the Tamworth Country Music Festival with TDP graduates Felicity Urquhart and Morgan Evans big winners on the night each taking home the respected Female and Male Artist Of The Year!

Along with this award, Felicity took home an incredible five Golden Guitars for 2020 Toyota Album Of The Year, APRA AMCOS Song Of The Year, Apple Music Single Of The Year, Traditional Country Album Of The Year and Heritage Song Of The Year. 

Morgan also won the Golden Guitar for Contemporary Country Album Of The Year.

An amazing line up of TDP graduates also performed and presented awards on the evening including Felicity Urquhart, Brad Cox, Travis Collins, Sam & Molli McClymont and Max Jackson.

2020 Tamworth Country Music Festival

Very exciting news from the 2020 Tamworth Country Music Festival with 2010 graduate Melanie Dyer announcing she is one of the hosts for the annual TCMF Golden Guitar Awards, alongside Sinead Burgess and Caitlyn Shadbolt!

Graduate Felicity Urquhart also making the very special announcement that she will be performing live at the awards that will take place on Saturday 25th January! Felicity is up for an incredible 8 awards on the night including Toyota Album Of The Year, Female Artist Of The Year and CMC Video Of The Year!

2019 ARIA Awards

Huge congratulations to 2004 TDP graduate Morgan Evans who won his first ARIA Award for Country Album Of The Year with ‘Things That We Drink To’ at the 2019 awards at Star City in Sydney!

Another big congratulations also to Human Nature, who were inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame at the awards, the same day as their 30 year anniversary! An incredible honour and amazing achievement!

2019 ARIA Award Nominations

The 2019 ARIA Award nominations were released with three TDP graduates being recognised in three categories.

Big congratulations to Felicity Urquhart for Best Country Album with Frozen Rabbit, Morgan Evans for Best Country Album with Things We Drink To and Song Of The Year with Day Drunk, and also to Gang Of Youths for Best Australian Live Act with their Say Yes To Life Tour!

The official awards ceremony will be held at on 27th November 2019.
